  • Description

There are many causes of paralysis or loss of muscular strength of the lower limbs (paraplegia). The most common are the spine trauma, tumor, infectious, vascular, autoimmune, among other causes. Depending on the causative agent and the time elapsed since the onset of paralysis, the patient undergoing an intensive rehabilitation regimen can achieve greater independence in basic daily life activities and, in some cases, a full or partial recovery of motor functions and of the often accompaning bladder and anal sphincter control.
Our comprehensive rehabilitation program is aimed at reintegrating patients to a more active and independent social life.
